On a sad note, Supren Mapondera an MDC activist who was a victim of 2008 violence and brutality passed away yesterday in joburg. He was involved in an accident.
Supren, strong member of the Alliance suffered human torture in the hands of Mugabe regime. Mr Supren who was in Chiweshe by that time, lost every property including bales of tobbaco and family displacement. Their house were burnt into ashes with his wife buttocks severely assaulted. They survived a short sleeve attempt when the tormentors decided to abort the mission at the last minute. Supren and family witnessed the real horror and pain in their lifes in support of the struggle. As MDC turns @19 it’s members like these which need to be honoured. We urge all the MDC Alliance members South Africa and Joburg district to assist and support with whatever is needed to sent our Cadre home. We shall also communicate with the Representative of Office of MDC Alliance to assist the deceased family members.
